I grew up in a small community in Southeast Alaska where my love and passion for the ocean was embraced by my surroundings. There is nothing about the water that I don't enjoy and being an Alaska Native with a large family that still resides in the Southeast area, I spend as much time in the area as I can. However, my drive to succeed eventually lead me away from my home state where I obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Central Washington University.

From a very young age I was intrigued by the mechanics and inner workings of any machine or object I could get my hands on. The reality of living on a remote island in Alaska was you were often presented with challenges where the obvious solution was not apparent. Being exposed to this type of critical thinking at a young age and throughout my adulthood accounts for my success in Mechanical Engineering.

I hope to continue learning and enhance the skill-sets that I have acquired thus far. I would like to get involved with large scale marine vessel mechanical systems which would tie my passion and love for engineering into a career I could flourish in.
